The bold ambition of Logivity is to make every transport sustainable – and to make that as simple as possible. The key is collaboration: the more actors who work together, the easier it becomes to optimize existing resources through the digital platform. It’s about a transparent, holistic perspective where sustainability is integrated into the business while strengthening performance.

Logivity was established in 2023 from an innovation initiative within the Volvo Group, which also owns the company. Its roots lie in a simple insight: transforming transport to become sustainable requires more than fossil-free vehicles and good intentions – it requires collaboration.

The transport sector accounts for around 25 percent of global emissions.
To reduce them – while also lowering costs – awareness is essential. And awareness begins with measurement and data. Without facts, no improvement.

People talk a lot about the need to access data, but it’s just as much about what you do with that data. The more you measure, the more insights you gain – and that enables better business and sustainability decisions,” says Jessica Öhrblad, CEO of Logivity.

Half-empty vehicles in the shadow of fossil-free ambitions

Even as fuels become greener and vehicles smarter, the logistics sector still struggles with inefficiency and half-empty transports. For Logivity, the challenges in the transport industry are not about running fewer transports but about running them smarter.

It’s unbalanced that the focus is often solely on fossil-free solutions – which are positive in themself – but people forget that many trucks run empty or half-full. One reason is that many companies have outsourced their transports, resulting in a lack of visibility into actual capacity,” says Jessica Öhrblad.

This is where Logivity comes in as an umbrella, giving the transport buyer a complete overview of their transports, no matter how many actors are involved. Each party naturally retains ownership of their own data, but Logivity connects everything and creates transparency throughout the entire flow.

A digital platform that creates a holistic perspective – with modular services

The open, digital Logivity platform helps companies optimize existing resources, reduce emissions, and lower costs – in short, to make logistics more sustainable. By connecting the entire transport chain, the platform enables data-driven decisions for higher precision, lower costs, and reduced climate impact.

Through the platform, companies can reduce waiting times, match invoices to transport orders, manage delivery and pickup schedules, track transports in real time, and calculate both costs and emissions. The service portfolio is modular, allowing customers to choose the services they need today – and scale up later as their needs evolve.

Economic and planetary sustainability go hand in hand

A guiding principle for Logivity is that sustainability should be embedded from the start and throughout the entire value chain. Many actors focus either on economy or environment – and when the focus is on cost, sustainability often becomes an afterthought. The company’s philosophy is that the two belong together: smart planning and efficiency lead to both lower costs and lower emissions.

Even though several actors offer similar services, we stand out by always integrating both economic and environmental sustainability. These perspectives reinforce each other – for example, both costs and emissions are positively affected by reduced fuel consumption and maximized transport capacity,” says Jessica Öhrblad. “The sustainability issue simply needs to become sustainable in itself.
